The Prosperity^® Long-Term Care Fund and Tim Hortons Restaurants of Ottawa (Tim Hortons) have formed a partnership under a new program entitled Comforts of Home^™. Under this program, Tim Hortons and The Prosperity Fund will organize an "afternoon coffee/tea" for the residents of numerous non-profit long-term care (LTC) homes in the City.

Long-term care homes are facilities designed for individuals who require 24-hour nursing care and supervision. In general, long-term care homes offer higher levels of personal care and support than those typically offered by retirement homes or supportive housing.

Many of the residents in these homes have mobility issues and rarely leave the home post-admission. As a result, many of these seniors are deprived of some of the comforts they are used to having, such as Tim Hortons coffee and tea.

The Comforts of Home program will be delivered in the following LTC homes this Spring:

1. St-Louis Residence, Orleans - Saturday, May 14, 2011 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
2. Garry J. Armstrong Home, Ottawa - Saturday, May 28, 2011 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm
3. St. Patricks Home, Ottawa - Sunday, May 29, 2011 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Comforts of Home will appear in other non-profit LTC homes this Fall.
