How to Donate to the Prosperity™ Long Term Care Fund

Donations are permanently endowed. Therefore they are always growing and the earnings will be available forever. The Prosperity Fund's Charitable Registration number is 11922 7981 RR 0001. You can donate to the Prosperity™ Long-Term Care Fund in the following ways:

Donate Online

Please note that online donations are made through the Community Foundation of Ottawa (CFO) on behalf of The Prosperity Fund. Clicking the link above will take you to the donation page of the CFO website, but you will be making a donation to The ProsperityFund.

Electronic receipts for donations of $20 or more will be provided by email. Donors who make monthly donations will receive a receipt for the full amount at the end of the year.

Donate By Cheque

Cheques must be postmarked no later than December 31. Please make cheques payable to the Community Foundation of Ottawa, specifying “The Prosperity Long-Term Care Fund” in the memo field. Cheques can be mailed to the Community Foundation of Ottawa at 301-75 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, K1P 5E7.

Donate Through the United Way

To donate to the Prosperity™ Long-Term Care Fund on your United Way form, you need to direct your support not to United Way or HealthPartners, but to "Other Canadian Registered Charities" and indicate that funding should go to "The Community Foundation of Ottawa - Prosperity Long-Term Care Fund" and ensure that "Prosperity Long-Term Care Fund" part is highlighted. The charity # is 11922 7981 RR 0001.

Other Donations

The Prosperity™ Fund accepts nearly every kind of asset. Most non-cash gifts are liquidated immediately and the proceeds transferred to the investment portfolio. You can donate gifts of public and private company securities, real estate or other assets. When making gifts of publicly-listed securities, we recommend having your investment advisor file all forms by December 19th, as well as notifying the Community Foundation, in order to ensure that final ownership of the securities is transferred to the Community Foundation by December 31.
