What is a Long-Term Care Home?
A Long-Term Care (LTC) home is a not-for-profit facility designed for individuals who require 24-hour nursing care and supervision. LTC homes offer higher levels of personal care and support than those typically offered by retirement homes or supportive housing. LTC homes are regulated by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC).
