The Prosperity Fund is a progressive, volunteer-run charity organization that raises funds, runs programs, and provides other support to our community’s not-for-profit long-term care (LTC) homes, their residents, and families. To date, all donations received have been endowed and not used to pay for operating costs.
The Prosperity Fund is a donor-advised fund under The Community Foundation of Ottawa. Our charitable number is 11922 7981 RR 0001.
All donations made to The Prosperity Fund are permanently endowed, invested, and managed by The Community Foundation of Ottawa, which manages funds in accordance with its Investment Policy and issues tax receipts. The Prosperity Fund pays an annual administration fee of 1.5 percent for these services.

Core Principles
- Raise funds to support the continuing and increasing needs our beneficiaries;
- Increase the awareness of long-term care and the issues facing seniors;
- Support, through the provision of programs and services, the not-for-profit long-term care homes in the Ottawa region;
- Find ways to minimize administration costs in order to maximize the percentage of funds raised will be used for our cause; and
- Ensure that our operations and distribution of funds to our beneficiaries is transparent and fair.
